Crazy Door/FOB/???

So I get out of my car today and hit lock on my FOB. Nothing happens so I think it is a dead battery. I lock my car using the inside lock switch. I come out of the store and nothing worked. Of course the FOB did not work but neither would the key! I tried the key numerous times but it would not turn(to the left) AT ALL!!! After about 1 hour, and switching the battery in the FOB, and trying my spare FOB, the door worked with the key.

I know this is a crazy story but it happened. Has anyone else experienced this. It was cold and embarrassing standing there trying to unlock my car. Once I got my car home I tried the FOB numerous times and it works like brand new!!

Crazy stuff!!

I had the same issue. Once. I am nearly a year in this car. I was at work and must have hit lock a dozen times. Nothing.

Got in the car, started it, killed it again, tried lock, nothing.

I gave up and walked into work with car unlocked.

I drove home after work and everything worked perfectly again. Have not had the issue since, and it's been months.

If all else fails, pilot, I would suggest getting everything checked over by your dealer, especially if you can get the vehicle to reproduce this issue in front of them. I hope this isn't a serious or reoccurring issue for you.

i have had this issue before last few days. it has only happened to me when its been extremely cold outside. i would hit the button on the fob and nothing, i ended up switching to my spare key and haven't had the problem come up again yet. ill report back if it does it again with the spare key.
