Driving me crazy!!

Ok, all you guys who are getting a Z are driving me crazy with envy!! I love the cars I have-an 09 CTS-V and AN 11SS/RS 2ss vert. But I would really like a Z. Which car would you trade or should I just suck it up and keep what I have?

make you crazy with envy? Why thats why we are here... to get you addicted to the ZL1...
Depends on how old ya are and how much money you have.
I am 48...have owned 35 cars..... 19 Fbodys....
I am getting too old to keep trading and selling... Anything I get forward on I will keep....
Unless it turns out to be a bad investment....
Ill keep what I have....and save till I can buy something else if I tend to collect more cars.
What does your wife tell you?
If I had a 09 CTS -V and an 11 SS as you, It would be a no brainer if I could afford the Z.... Id keep they CTS-V and swap or sell the SS off for the Z....
But thats me....

sounds like you have the $ for the ZL1 so I don't think you should envy at all. Get one to join the cars you have now.
CTS-V for luxury performance
SS rag top for "look at me go"
ZL1 for "want some of this?"

Well, I'm 63 and still a gear head. i've been lucky enough to have some great cars over the years. I'm not loaded with $ but doing ok, at my age I'm kind of like do I indulge myself or act my age. My wife would probably freak if she knew what I'm thinking about.

if it is possible to afford without selling a car then do that and just let the reality of what you use be your guide.

I kept a Mustang GT and ordered an 08 base coupe corvette. then I drove the mustang twice in 3 months and decided what is the point and sold it and bought a 300c. different use car I drive my Z06 and My 300C.

Screw the "Acting your age"....when you are 6' under you think anybody will care that you bought a car that will bring you god knows how much enjoyment? I make a good penny and when people ask me about "Saving for retirement" I make it clear that I am not sacrificing my retirement at all but that doesn't mean I have to take every frickin dime I make into retirement.....I want to drive like a mad man now and not wonder where the key goes when I'm 75........get it and love it!!!
Scott...

I like your philosophy!!! However if I keep buying cars at the rate I have been my wife may put me 6' under before I'm ready. You know I don't think I know how to act my age----wonder if I can trade the wife. Just kidding honey.
