Rally Stripes.

I really like the looks. Ive decided to go ahead and slap some on my car.
My car is black, I was thinking of a few different combos.
Flat black stripes
Dark Gray stripes either flat or gloss
Don't like the sharp contrast of white on black but i would get these in gloss
Any opinions or other suggestions will be welcome.

I also have a couple dozen questions as well.
Should I go with factory stripes?
I was looking at Big Worm graphics, anybody have any feedback from them?
I heard that I should stick to factory stripes because these wont damage the paint underneath any truth to this?
Is there any difference in quality between the available brands?
How well do they hold up to weather (Flat vs Gloss)? How long can they be expected to last. My car is outside 24/7 no garage or shade at home or work.
For those who have had stripes on their cars then removed them, did you notice any difference in the paint did it fade around the stripes?

Any advice when washing and waxing, ie, wax buildup along the edge of the stripes, or wax affecting flat stripes like it would black trim. or products which are unsafe to use on them...

Cant wait to hear from you guys, thanks for your thoughts

One last thing; Anybody in South Florida know of a good place to get the stripes applied in the Miami, Broward, area?

When I ordered mine, I got the CGM stripes on the IBM. It's really a major matter of taste, but I love the dark on dark. If you look at my posts, you'll find a thread with some pictures. I hate to eat bandwidth unnecessarily, though, so I won't post them again.

Silver GM Rallyes on the Black is the best. White jumps too much. I have the silver/blk combo, love it...

I love the look of the Matte Black and am thinking of going with that on my Black SS. Supposedly you have to be extremely careful not to wax that section since it would be a matte finish.
On the other hand, I saw a black car with mostly silver rally stripes on it with some red that was incorporated with it and it looked bad to the fuggin bone. Oh, and screw stick on stripes.....get them painted on. Less likely to peel, chip or fade plus they'll last longer than 5 years especially in that Florida sun.

I had hail damage so when it came to paint the car I had the stripes painted on. I like it 10 fold over the decals. The car is still in the shop so I haven`t seen the bill yet :S.

Hey I like the silver. I had a 1971 black z28 with silver stripe look sick. I recommend to paint the stripe so when you apply the clear coat over it looks like factory and dont feel the transition from the bla to the silver. iS MORE EXPENSIVE BUT TRUSTME WILL WORK AND LOOK SICK.
