Camaro Lease Option?

Has anyone seen any mention of a lease option for the Camaro? My wife just asked me, and I haven't seen anybody talk about it. Not that I would, just wondering.

I've heard that lease options will not be available until there are lot cars in abudance.

I was under the impression that Chevy no longer did leasing. I know that none of the dealerships around me have been offering it anyways.

GMAC currently has no leases. There are 3rd party leasing available but from what I've heard, they have very poor residuals which means HIGH payments for a lease. I hope 0% is still around when my car comes in, otherwise I may have to flake on the deal and com back later once leasing is around.

according to GMAC they are still doing leases but the terms and rates are outrages, you are looking at 1000.00 + a month for a lease on a camaro, it's nuts. if you go to GMAC's website you can look at the leasing information

All the GM dealers I've talked to say there are no leases at all. Do you have any links to these GMAC leases?

So HSBC cancelled my credit card and is canceling my gm card rewards money on august 1st. Now would be a good time for GMAC to start offering leases.

Hum CU's normally don't do leasing. If they do there books would be worse.

Leasing has too much downside right now because of used values being upside down (worth less than what they payed and made).

The Camaro should hold value just as good as any other car or better.

But the impact of the Avis rental fleet hitting the use market in a couple years and unknown total sales. Too much grey fog of war right now to tell what values will be in 1-2-3+ years.

I don't know where you guys are getting your information,But i am Leasing a new Camaro through GMAC.I already had to sign credit approval papers at my dealer. My 1LT/RS has a MSRP of $28,000,I'm putting down $7,000 cash and leasing for 48 months and my payment will be $276.00 a month.(36 month term is $317.00 a month),but prefer to have a little extra cash every month.

I also plan on buying the car at the end of the lease,or pay more principle every month, and re-finance the car.

At one time their was no info on a Lease, but that has changed

You have to put down 7,000 dollars and your payment is $276 a month? That seems high.....wouldn't it be cheaper to finance it....or darn close? I put zero down on my 2007 Silverado and the lease was 360 a month. I know that's a totally different vehicle but 7,000 down seems like a lot.
