Re-doing my cup holder lighting

So my dealer installed cup holder lighting looks kinda iffy since the passenger can easily see the bulbs, making it kinda ugly.i wanted to do the option I saw one guy on here do where he drilled holes on top and then bought the metal cup holder trim from eBay and it made the whole thing glow. Now I'm thinking of moving the bulbs to that spot but what do I do with the holes that are left where the bulbs used to be? Is there a way I can cover them up?

You could leave the bulbs as "dummy" lights. And put new in under the cup holder cover.

I drilled holes and installed the ABL LEDs from below. Part number here:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130521

Otherwise my mod is just like what the link @A6 posted shows. I tried the surface mount LEDs but they were the wrong color (says the wife). I redid it with the ABL LEDs and it sure looks great.

Sorry I tried pics but I don't have a camera that can do it.

I hate to tell you the dealer installed the switch incorrect. It should be mounted on the side of the console towards the driver, the switch faces the passenger. Also you can dim them if they are too bright.

Here is a great install guide (with Pics)

I have thought about some sort of cover or plug type things, because I've also thought about moving my LEDs, but I never researched it fully and found the right size.

Heck, now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if the little stopper at the end of a pen might do the trick? You know the little piece you take off to get to the ink stem? just a thought.

You could order a new console piece or if cost is a concern use a small amount of quick steel, try your hand at it first on something else.
