Wrong car! RS deleted. Salesman goofed up - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

What would you do? I ordered an IOM 2SS/RS with Orange interior and sunroof on 10-31. I changed it after seeing the Orange in person at a dealership and also deleted the sunroof after seeing it as not very usefull at the NAIAS in January. I ordered an IBM 2SS/RS with black interior. I am to get it this week and my confirmation with the salesman has it as deleting the RS. It is just a 2SS IBM black. Missing the RS package. I am really pissed, but is it worth cancelling the order? Does anyone know how hard or easy or costly it would be to get the HID headlamps like the RS has. The other things I could care less that it is missing. I understand the rest is just the roof ditch painted moulding, darker taillamps, and the midnight painted wheels missing and painted silver instead. I could live rather easily with the difference in these things, but the headlamps make a mean looking difference. Any thoughts, Please help. Another kiccker is I am going out of town tomorrow till Sunday.

I wouldn't accept it. Try and get the entire issue in writing and then send it to the GSM or owner and ask them what they can do for you to make things right.

I'll let you know because I've ordered the Halo lights separate from the car because it was to late to add the RS package.... car was being built! A9101848

This was a known issue with the ordering system and most dealers caught the deletions and added them back in. I would definetly see what they can do for you to make it right.

I agree.

And to swap the headlights out and put HIDs in the RIGHT way will not be cheap.

Maybe you should consider buying that one and selling it to make a profit and then re-order.

Or just wait and reorder the right thing. I all know we want the car but dude wait and get the right thing. It looks liek the build is moving along. I dont think the wait will be to long. You waited this long, so whats a couple of more months.

I personally would want it the way I ordered it but this would be an excrutiating choice.

Get them to re-order the car. Get a discount out of it...employee discount would make it right in my eyes.

Better yet, use the goof to your advantage.
Take the car and ask for a discount due to the mistake!

Tough call. The RS was dropped when you made your change due to an internal computer error, but the dealer should have known about this and fixed it before it was a problem. I hate compromising, so I wouldn't take it and I would probably try to raise hell.
