installed my own stripes!

before

during

after

it was a lot easier than I thought! The kit only cost me 118 bucks, and installation took only 3 hours, and a black majic window tent kit from Wal-Mart that cost 10 bucks!! So 128 vs dealer 450 bucks!!! Suck it dealers!!!

I was a little skeptical buying them online, but they are 3M, and the instructions were fairly thorough.

I watched several you tube articles in particular, this one:

After watching the you tube videos, I was certain I could do it. It really wasn't hard at all, just takes a little patience, an extra person to help hold them, and a nice sunny day!

Great job, Nasty! Yeah, dealership charges are way over what they should be when it comes to some things. Which is why I replaced my Toyo truck's timing chain myself last summer. Learned a lot and have some great tools now that I own!

I used to work for a dealer in the parts room. I remember my boss telling (ok, ordering) me to fill bottles of real corporate brand windshield washer fluid with cheap generic bought wholesale. Not that it happens everywhere, but it sure did in 1981 at a particular dealership whose name and brand I will not mention.

You did an awesome job here - good work!
