I bet it fits..... when my buddy gets any allocation at his dealership, I will ask him about fitting any ZL1 parts on a 1SS/2SS.... He works at a Chevy dealer in the Philly,PA area and I'll find out myself...
I just want the hood for my 1SS |

yes same here my friend is a gm service director and he dont know yet .when he has time he will look at it and let me know .i was just figuring that someone on here knows for sure .he also said he thinks its the same frame so why not .adding wiring harnesses and changing lights ,yes it does cost money but if you like the look who cares what it costs .im going with the noweeds exhaust cut outs because i like noise im done with speed you can only go from light to light at the same pace as every one else ,so i guess its about your own preferance .im pretty sure alot of us will find out on our own .i will share all i can get

People forget..... It's still a Production Camaro..... I know for sure the wheels from the ZL1 even fit my 1968 Chevelle, without any Modification... Although, I wouldn't put 20s on my Chevelle

Yes it will fit, but some cosmetic modifications will have to be made to it since he ZL1 hood scoop is wider at the nose. People on here have already done it, the thread hat was given to you shows what you need and how

There are already several member that have zl1 front bumper almost completely finished. Look in the diy and how to section. They have purchased oem parts and fitted to non zl1.

I'm not sure the wider scoop has anything to do with where the hinges mount or the hood latch secures to.. I'm betting the Hood hinges are the same as 1SS/2SS and where the Hood latch is installed is the same as 1SS/2SS....

Yes the hinges are the same. But the hood only works perfect with the ZL1 bumper. Otherwise you need to do some trimming

The sheet metal including the rad support and steel bumper and strut towers and fenders and firewall are indentical for all gen5's. The mounting points for the front bumper cover and the hood are the same. The difference is in all the dozens of little parts that make and hold the front cover and all it's parts on to the sheetmetal. The style of what you're seeing is not the bumper, the underlying steel is. It is all interchangeable.
