Im getting calls from Dealers in Houston to BUY!!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Thier calling in already boys. I've gotten 2 phone calls today from a couple of dealerships that are selling NOT showing an Orange SS and another 2010Camaro (Unknown Model so Far). I asked one sales person if they were @ sticker Price and she said she didn't know. Most likely they will sell them over MSRP. Which one dealer already called and said he had a 1SS Black Available at another Dealership...

UPDATED: THe 2nd Camaro is Bumblebee SS

Sounds sketchy to me. Why do dealers have SS's to sell? shouldn't customer orders been built first?

Better allocation than others my local dealership has a 2SS/RS Silver, Blk Leather, Sunroof, A6, and polished wheels that hit the rail yard today it should be on the lot Thursday or Friday and it's an unsol unit.

The best part is that the salesperson called to sell you a car but didn't know the price. I've seen that comment a few times in these forums. Must be difficult to close the deal that way!

Guys dealers can and are using the pre-order system to order stock cars. I know because my dealer told me his first 3 Camaros he ordered were for stock. Either RPO or CamoroScotty has mentioned that the dealerships can do this as well. These stock cars count against their allocations

Sold orders count too...It was up to each individual dealer whether or not to use their allocations for sold orders. If a dealer chose not to pre-sell their vehicles, they will have stock units for retail purchases.

YES ANY CAMARO'S THAT ARE AVAILABLE NOW ARE THE DEALERS THAT REFUSED TO TAKE PRE-ORDERS. PREPARE TO PAY THROUGH THE NOSE FOR THEM AND HAVE TO "SETTLE" FOR WHAT THEY ORDERED AND NOT WHAT YOU WANT

I understood this was conceivable, but a big nono by the dealers. So they put in a fake persons name to order the car? Doesn't that seem unethical?

GM STATED WHEN THE PRE-ORDER OPENED UP THAT IT WAS FOR BONIFIED SOLD ORDERS. ANYTHING LESS IS JIGGY IN MY EYES.
