Does anybody know how the paint line works at the factory?
(Mole, help me here please)

Are random colors painted one after the other? Do they group same colors together for extended runs? Seems risky to paint one car black and the next one through might be yellow or silver. Just curious.

Wouldn't it be great to visit the factory and watch your car being built? I think you can do that with a Corvette...

There are a few threads here already explaining why a tour is not possible in Oshawa. As for painting, they are not painted in 'batches'. One car can be painted black, and the next one yellow with no impact.

The robotic paint guns are thoroughly cleaned between each car with a water based solution (color coat is water based). All paint retrieved from the gun during the cleaning process is recycled back into the proper color vats to be used again. The Oshawa paint plant is one of the most advanced plants in North America and all risk has been engineered out of the process.
