DEALER BEAT MY CAR AND RIGGED THE REST!

So I bring in my 2010 2 SS/RS CGM into Strickland Chevrolet on November 20th, 2011. I got my car back on January 5th 2012. (Yea tell me that wait wasnt long enough). They fixed several internal issues with the tranny but seemed not to remember how to put it back in the car.

Here's what they did to make it fit:
  1. Beat my exhaust in different spots trying to bend it and make it fit. They didn't have it turned correctly after the X Pipe so it wasnt fitting. After realizing they couldnt beat it with a hammer any longer, they just decided to
  2. Put a total of 32 washers in between my tunnel brace and frame. 6 on each bolt. Some being different sizes. Now if the factory tunnel brace isn't that strong to begin with, wonder how much good its doing with all that stress on the bolts that are backed out 1/2". They also forgot to
  3. Tighten up the transmission mount. Yup. That's right. They didn't even tighten it back down. So i'm going down the road and decide to take off a little spirited and WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM!!!!! My transmission has become a thrashing, u joint killing, engine bucking, driveshaft flopping monster. Great. Now I'm not sure that im correct on this last one but they also
  4. Bent the heat shield and ran the driveshaft over the top of it and between the body. I may be wrong on this one like I said, but I thought the heat shield would hug the tunnel, then below it would be the driveshaft and exhaust. But again it may go there, they just bent the crap out of it. Oh and did I mention
  5. The driveshaft now rides on the support at the split? I think, but dont know, that this is not normal. There has definately been some metal on metal action though.
Yelled at the Service Manager over the phone who had no excuse and asked for pictures. I emailed him the pictures 3 minutes later and asked him to repond with an update... yup, no email back.

So Thank you Strickland Chevrolet for keeping my car for nearly two months. Thank you for tearing my prized possession up. Thank you for beating things you didnt know how to install and adding washers to a $30,000 Muscle Car. Thank you for being the SECOND dealership that has screwed me over. Thank you Mr. Service Manager Charles Kozel for not emailing me back. Thank you, thank you.

Jeff, I really hope you see this post. I already opened a case with you once but there was a miscommunication and they closed it prematurely. (That was back in September when I had my first issues with this car)

So until then I'd like to share this with the Camaro5 family, hopefully someone can chime in with advice or related stories and resolutions. Chevrolet for sure. Maybe the BBB? Idk.

Help Wanted,

Clint.

Find a new dealer ASAP! Those guys are idiots. Hammers are never a good sign.

The aftermarket exhaust was already installed on the car. It USED to fit just fine. Took it in for the work and of course they have to remove it to drop the tranny, well, things didnt go back in like their cartoon tsb video must have shown them, or they are drinking the ATF with their cheerios. And then they shimmed the tunnel brace in an effort make it clear after they gave up on beating it...

Wow,I'll bet if you looked in the technicians ( and I use that term loosely) tool box the only tool you will find is a hatchet.
Does Snap-on sell hatchets ??
