V6 Performance Question

My wife just picked up her new SS but i have been looking at 45th 2 Lt with a V6 and manual trans for a daily driver. Just wondered if you guys are happy with the performance of the 2012 V6 ?

I have a great looking car, 323hp, and good gas mileage.
No complaints here.

The search button is your friend... Asking this question will open up a can of worms. You will have V8 owners tell you the V6 sucks and doesn't compare and that it's V8 or nothing. Then you'll have V6 owners get pissed off about it and start throwing HP and TQ numbers at you. Then someone will ask if we can sing kumbaya, then the thread will get closed.

To answer your question my V6 is everything I need and I am very happy with the power; it is perfect as a daily driver. I can get a ticket just as fast as an SS can but is it as fast as the V8? Nope... Although with bolt-ons you can get close. Great handling. Good gas mileage. Very peppy. I love my six.

Enjoy the SS and good luck with your decision!

If you can afford the v8, get it.

I have a v6, I enjoy it. Do I wish I had the v8? Duh....

But I'm a college dropout who paints houses and has a 15 year old daughter - I'm lucky to have any car, let alone a 2011 Camaro LS and a garage to put it in.

You will love the 2LT as a daily driver. The V6 is quick and gets pretty decent gas mileage. I don't think you will regret your decision.

I am happy with my 2LT RS V6. It will get me to places I want to go to in the same amount of time as a v8 with out breaking the law.
Do not let the V8 jerk you you around.

pretty sure you will NOT find a bad review from a owner here. with that being said you need to test drive and see if it for you.

I'm sure others will say get what you want not what everyone else wants you to get.

I got the V6 for a DD and I am thrilled.

Advantages: fuel economy, regular fuel cost less, lower purchase price, better ride quality, less insurance cost, replacement brakes cost less, replacement tires cost less, and you still get the same stares from non Camaro owners.

Disadvantages: Not as fast, does not handle quite as well, you will get the (it's not a V8) from those that do not understand it's not always about performance. I'm sure resale will not hold as strong as a SS Camaro.

I have my 98 Vette, my Cadillac CTSV, my QQ vette, (So I've got my power fix)
my DD is the Camaro, and I have a Traverse for when the weather gets bad.
Sure I could of had a SS but for me it was about my Camaro being a DD.

The V6 Sux! Surely you don't want all that extra gas milage and having the opportunity to buy cheaper gas. And I know you wouldn't want the extra break on your insurance. Don't get a V6, that way mine will be that much more rare in the future. LMFAO!

BTW: IBTL
