Looking to get a new camaro or an SLP Camaro?
Good evening...
Just wanted to share a quick note. I've been pressuring the dealership that I purchased my car from and also had my SLP package setup through to give a great deal on price to anyone from C5 or that I recommend and send their way. I don't work for them or am getting anything for it. I was able to get a great deal there and they were great to work with. I am a stickler for car buying and had some not so good experiences at local dealers. I've had some great talks with the GM and I feel pretty confident he'll backup what he and I discussed. I'm not sure of all the proper protocol here on the forum, so just PM me if you are in the NOVA area and are looking And I'll do my best to help. Thanks, Luke |

I'm actually looking into the set up. Just trying to figure out if I want to go the ZL1 route or not. I will be interested in putting it on the '10 2SS/RS. More so interested in the engine not the wheels or any exterior mods.

You can probably go with their staged upgrade package. If you're interested hit me up, the folks at sterling will take good care of you and I can help with that.

Not sure why anyone would spend 65+k on a SLP SS that doesn't improve the weak links of the SS (trans, clutch, axles, differential, LS3 cast components), when they can purchase a ZL1 for 56k which has upgraded virtually everything?
I could understand the draw to this car prior to the ZL1 but now it really doesn't make sense. Maybe SLP should now release a Z-28 type version of their product.

The complete package from SLP is sweet. The ZL 1 was not available in 2010........but there maybe one in my future. Given those items you mention......I agree.....I would be down with the Z-28!

I hear ya. There are certain items I like a lot about both, wish I could have one of each. However, being able to a la carte a specialty vehicle to my liking was fun. I'll know in a few weeks if I have any regrets.
I know SLP has something cooking to separate from the ZL1. Not really to compete with as they know the production ZL1 is a beast, and being an arm off of GM, they just need to keep the specialty vehicles fresh. We'll see what they do. I know they are brining back the panther. Should be sweet. I'll give an honest review of my ZL600 when it gets back. Now for the wait.... |

I recently upgraded my ZL 550 with long tube headers/crossovers. Added a bit more power...more of a beast...more than enough to keep up with the ZL 1's dust or perhaps maybe a bit better. The ZL 550 has no reason to hide in the shadows .....and the ZL 600 should be a hand-full! Betcha.....there will be NO regrets!

lol, it is trust me. Make sure you do something about your clutch. And if you add any more traction than stock you will snap your driveshaft/half-shaft. So keep the stock wheels/tires and you will have a lot of fun.
