FARK install now static
it's not bad. i added the PAC ground loop isolators on my PPI p900.4 amp but i still hear the dang static in the background when it gets quiet. my rca's are as far as they can be from the power cord but still run by it. thoughts on how to fix?
i'm also experiencing the chime only in the front driver's door. i checked the x3 harness adaptation and it is correct. i even grounded it at the battery. could these problems be related? |

I'm not as up on car audio as I used to be, but I always heard that using the battery as a ground is not a good idea. You should be using bare metal.
Check your connections and wires, if you can wiggle one and the static goes away then you found the culprit. |

well it could be the ground, but it isn't the other wires. i have tried just about everything. could the ground loop isolators be working improperly?
also have you guys experienced the blinker being loud and the chime and blinker only playing out of the driver's door? |

okay if anyone can do this it would be really helpful...
go turn on your radio and put it on AUX input. do not plug anything in...no music. turn up your volume from 0 to the highest level you normally listen to. do you hear white noise? post back and let me know. i'm wondering if this is normal since AUX/USB are not the clearest of signal sources anyway. |

Certainly someone can help you out on this. I'm seriously thinking about going the FARK route..especially after talking to Steve at ******** today. Very good guy to talk to. Would be good to know if there are "side effects" with going this way...

really...no one with the FARK can go outside and turn on their AUX with no music to see if there is some white noise feedback??

Turn the gain down as low as you can I had same issue and realized gain was set to high. I also grounded to the battery with no issue.

seriously, can someone please help a brother out and go turn on their aux and listen for white noise? this shouldn't take more than 10 seconds maximum. you can do it on your next trip. i really just want to see if this is normal.
this isn't a product of gain too high, though thanks for the suggestion and reply. my gain is about 35%, and if you turn the gain down, the volume would just have to go higher to achieve the same white noise. so it's still there, just not prevalent until higher volume level numbers. |

I turned mine down to the lowest I had white noise issue on aux as well. I even disconnected the diode and works great even though I turned down gain when I turn the volume up still no white noise also check ur audio cables are not coming in contact with ur power/ground I've heard that can affect sound

The diode is installed, but he said he removed it? The diode is only to lessen the volume of the chime and has nothing to do with feedback.
