Carbon fiber wrapped heritage grill?

So my birthday is coming up and I'm going to use it as an excuse to buy some mods for the car. I'm thinking about a short throw shifter, heritage grill, and perhaps an exhaust.

Anyways, my car is black, and I do quite like the heritage grill unpainted on the black car, but I was thinking it would look very cool if the surround was wrapped in carbon fiber. Has anyone done this or seen a Camaro with this done? How hard would it be for a professional to wrap the grill surround? I doubt I can do it myself, at least not very well.

Anyone have pictures? Thoughts?

Do you have any pieces of actual carbon fiber? If not, the cf looking wrap (called "dry carbon" vinyl) would look decent. If you have any actual carbon fiber on your car the vinyl will clash with it.

If you're talking about an actual carbon fiber overlay for the heritage grill, that would look pretty cool.

Yes, I am talking about overlaying carbon fiber on the heritage grill.

What does hydrocoating involve and where would that be done at? Sorry I am not familiar with that process. Pros/cons vs. vinyl wrap?

Vinyl wrap is a dry look, hydro coating will give you the gel look since it would be clear coated

Hydrocarbon is still dry carbon - it's basically a fancier/non-reversible vinyl wrap. Also, and correct me if I'm wrong but hydrocarbon isn't clear coated.

Everything I have been told about hydro coating involves clearing it afterwords.

Well doing some research on hydrocoating it does appear it is clear coated afterwards. Also seems very expensive, more than the grill itself, at least on a website I found where a hydrocoated engine cover is $350, and the bezel around the shifter is $120 (just for the hydrocoating). I would think the wrap would be cheaper, but it also might not look as good. However, the wrap is reversible if I were to ever want to sell the car and put the stock grill back on and sell the grill separate. I also would imagine that shipping the grill back and forth isn't too cheap.

my mistake. Hydrocarbon is clear coated. That does not make it real carbon fiber. This is what real carbon fiber, or "wet" carbon looks like.
