Camaro Drivers not as friendly anymore?? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I got my SS during the summer of 2010. There weren't many of us on the road then but EVERY time we would see each other on the road, we would wave to one another. Now it seems there are a lot more Camaro drivers on the road and I still wave every time I see one but rarely get a wave back. Anyone else noticing this or is it just me?

This is true sadly. The thing is when they first came out it was the people who was waiting for them and all felt the same way about them. Now everyone is like i like that lets get one and its no longer just the chevy people and camaro people who own them but everyone. And most people who own them now just dont care like the people who bought them when they first came out there are some but the majority is now your everyday person who is not going to be as friendly.

About a month ago another yellow camaro blew through a light cutting me off and proceeding to rip it. Next light he just kept revving and took off. I don't do the race thing....and then it happened....he flipped me off. Always some bad apples in the bunch.

I agree..the last time couple of people I gave the thumbs up to or waved to just stared at me and I felt like an idiot. Now I hesitate...sad

I've had both mine since 09, and have noticed a big difference in other drivers in the past year. Seems there is no brotherhood any more, you give them the thumbs up and they look at you like your stupid.

You are right. There are alot of Camaro owners who are not as friendly. Be patient though. Probably FORD or DODGE people who converted over to CHEVY...

I guess the 1st buyers were enthusiasts and now the car has caught main stream which I am glad, however I love the Camaro and thought everyone else gets excited when they see another one on the road.

I wouldn't say they're unfriendly, maybe their arms are just sore from all that previous waving!! lol
I had a guy just today with I think a fourth gen camaro with his kid in the car...they pulled up along side, pointed, smiled, thumbs up etc., I did the same back...
If you see another camaro, go ahead and wave or whatever anyway!! Can't hurt!

I wave at all other Camaros when I feel that they can see me. I have yet to receive a wave from another driver, but at least I haven't seen any middle fingers, either.

I try to wave but most of the time they're not even looking. Heck I had an older gentleman give me a thumbs up from his Subaru today
