Check engine light after CAI install

All I did today was installed a Volant CAI and used some degreaser and engine shine to clean things up a bit (Was super dusty and dirty)

I bought the Volant used and the seller did not send all of the parts so I called Volant and got all the parts I needed. IN that bag of parts, Volant sent me a new gasket for the MAF. On the phone, the Volant rep said I had to use it.

The gasket was ill fitting and I damn near decided to not install it but I did anyway. I drove it for 150 miles then the light came on.

I stopped at O'Reilly Auto on the way home and the guy scanned it real quick. It said something to the effect of:

Bank 1 lean
Bank 2 lean
Bank 3 pending
Bank 4 lean

Could that MAF gasket be causing this? Should I remove it and just mount the MAF to the CAI tube without it?

There is an air leak somewhere. It's either from the MAF gasket or maybe you didn't get the tube on the Throttle Body good enough.

Re-check everything and make sure it's nice and tight. You can try without the MAF gasket but my guess is you probably need another one. You probably need to call Volant and tell them the gasket didn't fit well and now you're getting a CEL.

Recently I dressed up the top of my LS3. I did coil relocators, new valve covers and added the full TechAfx hose kit flipping my fuel rail 180 degrees. I have the Injen full cold air intake with Long tube headers with off road 3 inch full exhaust system. Reading about those codes, it says my car is running lean. People suggest the CAI and Longtubes are the problem. I have had the same CAI and exhaust with longtube headers for 2 years without any codes. Everything is on tight and torqued too spec. Also, I have SC1250 breather kit as well as the catch can. That being said, the vacuum line from the valve cover to the CAI is capped. No other vac lines are loose or off. These codes started after dressing up the engine bay. The car runs great and doesn't have any kind of a missfire. Anybody with any suggestions?

It's a vacuum leak, check all fittings especially the tb coupler and filter coupler. Mine threw same code and that's what it was.

Do you have the dry filter or the oiled filter? I had the same problem when I installed the Volant on my car. I was using the dry filter. I put the oiled filter on and reset the CEL. The problem went away. It's been good for about 1500 miles now.
