TAPshift problems on my camaro

When I go to shift up when I try to us it. It wont shift. does anyone one have an idea. I put LT heads on the car and the engine light came on and i know its the o2 sensor but could it not be shifting because the CEL is on?

Did you put it in M or whatever the sport mode is called rather than just leaving it in drive? If so, I really don't know what the issue would be, I wouldn't think that the CEL would be causing the issue personally.

yea I put it in M and nothing! I talked to Chevy and the guy said when your engine lights on usually tap shift and cruise control doesn't work but everything does work CC is fine its just the tap shift. I can even shift down just not up.

Bro I had this problem only when I broke the clock spring in the steering wheel...You probably disconnected the steering column and turned it to many times which broke the clock spring...Its a little sensor...Take it to the dealership it a easy fix... Next time tie the steering wheel up where it doesnt move at all and you will not have this problem! Once this is fixed tapshift will work again. Good Luck! I think they charged me like $170 to fix!!! Your CEL is on because the car is running Lean until its tunes!!!

You definitely need a tune. You'll love it.

Come over to the dark side.
