Easy to change the cluster from US units to metric?

Hey there you lucky new Camaro owners. I am considering to buy one and take it back home in Europe after my contract. As metric units are used there, I'd like to ask how easy is it to change the cluster (including the analog speedo) from US units to metrics. Important units/gauges are:
- the analog speedo from MPH to km/h
- odometer from miles to km
- temperature gauges from F to C degrees
- consumption from MPG to l/100 km

I know that Pontiac G6 has an easy menu setting (in the radio panel) where you just choose the used unit system, and it even "adjust" the ratio of the speedo. So instead of 0-160 MPH it shows 0-160 km/h. And as Camaro belongs to GM as Pontiac does, maybe this feature is inbuilt there in Camaro as well.

Thanks and have great and safety rides with your fabulous new Camaros!

It's very easy. Just hit desired menu and change to metric. Done.

Buy a Canadian one since we use the metric system.

This will work for the digital info in the DIC but not the analog speedo.

99% sure it will work, since that speed is digitally controlled.
and as the spedo doesnt have mph/kilos per hour, it has a light that lights up depending which setting you are on. this is how most new GM cars work.

The speedos are different. The top speed shown is different for each. And they do say MPH and KPH on their face

Not sayin' the change can't be made - but to switch the speedo is gonna require some hareware swapping. Of course you can change the DIC and have the other figure shown there as the US picture shows (i.e. where the digital "0 MPH" is it could easily say "0 KPH")

Hey I just realized. The Cdn speedo tops out at a little over 300 KPH. The US tops out at just over 180 MPH. Ignoring that little bit over these numbers, 300 KPH = 187.5 MPH. I guess the Canadian Camaro is faster than the US one!

Thanks for your replies. I was watching the pics of US and Canadian speedos, and it really looks that the unit announcement (MPH or km/h) is done by lightning a light behind the selected unit system text on the dial face. Without the light the text is hidden. My MB has a similar system (although it cannot be changed by yourself but by a dealer). The only problem is to have a metric display only until 180 km/h, as there are potential of much more... Well, I won't drive in free limit Germany so actually it isn't a problem.

And really it would be great to have the same units in Europe and USA (metric of course) one day! (I must say in spoken language we still use 2 by 4 inches board, not 100 x 50 mm...)

Press the menu button on the turn signal stalk, and choose km/h instead of mph. This will change the digital read out to ## km/h, and the analog guage will match up. The only issue will be, the top speed in km/h will be 180, instead of the 300 on the Canadian guage. I hope this helps, and I'm about 95% sure I'm right.

EDIT: You could also order from Canada... already has the guages the way they should be

like i said.
he is right
to the people who are saying th gauge does say mph, yes, it is a light,
when you change it to metric, the mph light goes off, and the km/h light comes on. and then it adjusts the calibration of the needle so that it points to the right number. i do it on my moms car alot ,just to watch the needle jump from where it is in mps to kmh, so yes, they will both change.
im about 99.976% sure. two points to camarolives
