RS package on hold?? No f*u@%ing way!!

Ok, last week I was supposedly pulled for production, then this week (waiting for the call with my TPW) I am told its been put on hold due to my RS package....WTF!!! They told my dealer (yea I know, he's an idiot) that they are having supplier issues with some of the RS package stuff. Has any one else heard any thing about this? Thanks.

Lol, no, but I predicted this in an earlier post since everything else I've ordered has been delayed. V6, CGM, Manual transmission, and now potentially RS package. The only thing left on my car for them to delay would be the connection and connectivity package. Give it a week....

would make sense anyone remember me saying how I have 2 2SS/RS at 3000 for like 3 weeks and one of my 1ss's placed last week is already at 3400 and the other 2 are at 3000 still.

I ordered a 2SS RS and have been at 3000 for over a month, I have been wondering if there could be an issue like this for a while. Maybe someone from GM can validate this at some point?

I was at my dealer yesterday because his dealer car was there. It was a 1LT/RS. Looked great. I ordered the 2LT/RS and mine went to 3400 on o4/22/2009. Plus, I was standing right there when he talked to the Regional Manager that said I should be 3800 sometime this week. I'm not buying it.

I think almost all of the V6 dealer cars have the RS package so it could have something to do with allocating resources to get those dealer cars out in time for the launch events.

I ordered a 2SS VR 6speed polished rims TPW of April 20-27given on 3-26.....no RS package and have heard nothing yet either.......just trying to be patient!

i heard this last week in a post and thought there is no way that could happen. if this is more that just a rumor, it wouldn't suprise me at this point.

i read about some of you early VIN guys, and some others still at 1100 that ordered back in October and it just kills me. i ordered 4/11 and was told July. now my dealer says i won't even get pulled until at least mid June, and i feel fortunate!

there is no ryme or reason to any of this madness. there was a post on here where a member stated how disheartening all of this was and how frustrated he is becoming. i don't blame him.

my opinion.......GM really screwed the pooch on this one. i understand the issues with a new line product, i really do. but the lack of communication from GM, lack of caring from most dealers (not all), build priorities and what seems to be absolute lack of caring or consideration when it comes to the pre-order customer is simply becoming unexceptable.

perhaps if GM wasn't so worried about building Camaros for Texas parades or baseball events, they could concentrate on fixing the early VINS and getting them to the owners who ordered back in October, before the April orders are delivered. perhaps since GM offered pre-orders, GM shoulda filled those orders COMPLETELY first, and not treated them as "filler work" between Hendricks cars and AVIS cars.
