Question ZL1 Convertible

Has anyone heard of the date that orders can be placed for the ZL1 convertible? Also wondering when production will start..

My guess, it will be 3 to 5 thousand more than the coupe. That would be in the range of 59 to 61000. Just my guess.

The real question is, will it come with the optional rub marks?

optional rub marks, faulty 5th bows, wateringress etc...
many of us got the feeling that those are standard

the real question for us is, when will it come with a fault-free soft-top as standard

as we desperately want to buy one we can drive daily

More like $4,900-$6,050. That's how much it costs to upgrade from a coupe to a vert right now. With gas guzzler tax, destionation cost, ect that would come out to about $65,400-$66,400 out the door.

C'mon guys ... tired subject on the rub marks.

As mentioned by Birdible, most of the issues currently have fixes online for new production and should roll out to service fixes going forward.

And absolutely agree with Sux2BU on the pricing ... expecting $60k+ depending on options selected, including gas guzzler tax. Base MSRP on the coupe @$54k + $6k for the vert. However, I'd expect that most folks wouldn't get the absolute base model, and so price would be more inline at $65k+.

Yes, and that's for us who live south of the Canada/US border. As many of you know, our neighbors to the north pay a lot more (thousands) for their Camaros, even though they are built only there.

Go figure! :(

You would think that once quality control is finished with the coupes and no problems are found, they would release the msrp. They know the cost of the zl1 coupe, and they know what the rag top is currently cost, so why not go ahead and release the price?

Hey Gyna Tek with all due respect, the rub mark, and more importantly for me , the 5th bow problems are not a "tired' subject until all problems have been rectified or vehicles replaced with updated vehicles. My car is still at the dealer coming up on a month just this visit. I hope the ZL1 is trouble free but that will be because we turned up the heat on GM and we were the test dummies for them unpaid of course!

I don't think Gyna Tek was being disrespectful or uncaring for those of us with problems on the verts. I think that he/she just feels like some of us feel. Every thread started on the vert, within 5 posts somebody chimes in about the problems that are well documented throughout this forum. I personally don't want to read about fellow vert owners constantly bashing my car when I have to read about the coupe owners bashing my car. if I want to read camaro bashing I can go to a mustang forum for that. All I'm asking that if you have something bad to say about the vert issues please keep it to the proper thread, not every thread you read. (Sorry for venting, just tired of the bashing.)

No body is 'bashing' I love my car also thatis why I want it fixed once and for all. I wonder how tired of it you would be if your top broke every time you put it down. I'm not talking rub marks I mean collapsed bow. If we didn't love these cars we would have just moved on. We are just "raising awareness'' to use a ridiculous term.
