AC Belt Install 2010 Camaro V8
Here's a very simple method.:
Remove Serpentine belt. Cut Off AC Belt (It should not be reused) Place new Belt over AC pulley Begin the pull it on Crank Pulley at the top. Where you can no longer pull it over place a zip tie over the belt and around the crank pulley. Turn crank Clockwise. when the belt is installed remove the zip tie. Replace the serpentine belt.

When you buy a GM belt I believe it comes with a tool to install the AC belt. It did for me anyways. Real easy with the tool too!

The tool used to be available at Car Quest for around $10.00. Bought mine several years ago when these streatch fit belts started to show up.

I tried the tool, pain in the arse. You've got to take it from the front of the pulley because the rear is to wide. Kept slipping off the ac pulley due to the angle. Trust me the zip tie is cheaper and easier.

Mine went on with no tool. Rotated the crank while pulling the belt on. Linda the same thing you used to do when you were a kid and your chain came off on your bike

There must be some inconsistency in the size of the belts. I know my way around a car there was 0 chance of guiding this on without the tool or a zip tie and the tool was a bit of a pain as well. I threw this DIY up because if you search multiple people have had this problem with "Just feed it on and rotate" as the only advice, no way that would have worked for me. Trust me it's very simple and effective.

My belt was off just one rib, I figured it out quickly so the belt was still good. I started it and used a long ratchet extension to walk it back on. This took less than 1 second you could here the belt snap back into place. My dad actually did it, I didn't even get a chance to watch as by the time I got out of the car after starting it he already had it on I just heard it snap back on. I was really worried doing this but it worked really fast and easy.

Thanks for the tip, worked like "butta". My belt kept slipping off, then it even split down one of the grooves. I got a Gates (K040373S) belt, I hope this one lasts longer than the OEM one, only 7K miles.
