Detail spray in foam gun for rinse and dry?

OK... here's a chance to shoot down a crazy idea. :-)

There are many suggestions to use the Adam's detail spray when drying off the car to avoid water spots. (I do use that method currently.) What would happen if I put the detail spray in a (clean) foam gun instead and use that to do the final rinse of the car before drying?

Would that work as well as spraying on the 'normal' way?

You don't need a lot of detail spray to do it normally. This way your proposing would either waste detail spray or use up the detail spray in the foam so quickly you would just be rinsing the car with plain water in a few seconds.

This.

You really don't need a lot of detail spray.

You'd burn a lot of product (which I'm sure would be great for business LOL) but not see a huge benefit from it. You only need to mist each panel, the amount that would pump thru a foamer would be pretty heavy... way more than you'd need. Also keep in mind the foam work (is driven) by the force of the water pulling product thru the head... you'd be diluting the DS so heavily and putting so much more water on the car in the process that you'd likely just end up with more spots.

I like where you're head is at, but the reality is that you'd probably only make matters worse.
