20k miles and thick white smoke...

Sooo..... I turned out of my parking lot, hit the gas and poof a cloud of thick white smoke the entire time I accelerate... Turn off onto a side street terrified the new sub and amp I installed today had burst into flames in the trunk (the way the wind was sweeping around the back looked like it was coming from the trunk) popped and and sighed a sigh of relief ...
I work at a non-chevy dealership as a sales consultant so I called my service friend. He came over and said I was burning coolant and called the tow truck as it was billowing out every time you touched the gas peddle... I've only had it for two weeks so I'm a little bummed. My boss isn't gonna let me hear the end of it since he told me to stick to our brand....

Hopefully its not anything major....

Poor Claudette

It was a 70 year old man that traded it in for a truck so I don't think he ditched it beacuse of problems... Only 20k miles so its still under full factory warranty

I thought for a minute there you were going to say that you let the smoke out of the tires. LOL Don't worry about your boss, take him to the service area, and show him all of his brand on the lifts. LOL

You have not been getting on it really hard, before the fluids have warmed up to temperature have you?

Did you take the radiator cap off after it cooled down, to see if the coolant was low? Also pull your dipstick to see if the coolant mixed with the oil.

Coolant was good and full, oil was good, neither smelled of the other. It's already sitting at the Chevy dealership next to mine waiting for them in the morning.....
