My 422-HP SS test drive - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just found this place and figured I'd share a couple of pics of the SS coupe I got to drive back in February. My neighbor works for GM and has a pre-production unit in his driveway.

I stopped to check it out and after drooling, touching, smelling, and Ooooooh-ing, he offered me the keys of the 6 speed monster. I didn't go nuts like I would have wanted to, but I got it to scream in first, second, and a little of third. It was AMAZING!

While I wish I was getting an SS, I am waiting to see the LT/RS convertible sometime in the near future. Neighbor said he might have one by fall that I can see. I have more pics if you want 'em.

Looks like an SS/RS
if it was manual transmission then it's 426hp
if it's automatic transmission it's 400hp.

1SS cloth interior
2SS leather interior.

Ride was spectacular. Sound was great.

Maybe this was before the CTF Camaro was wrecked by a non-GM driver.
