New and need advice on possible purchase of camaro

so i have been looking for a coupe to buy for my next car and narrowed it down to two cars camaro being one of them, i really love the car. I was looking at a silver camaro with 10k miles and the RS package for about 22 k i was planning to trade my z71 tahoe 07 for it and wouldn't owe much at all if anything.

whats your opinion of the RS camaro it was a 2009 and was certified and looks sharp I only city drive and want a monster. I liked the outside but the inside sorta was eh it didn't have the leather wrapped knob or steering wheel or seats.

You think 22k for a 10k mile 2009 RS camaro is a good deal? I figured I wouldn't do much to the car except tint the windows for now. I can't spend anymore than 22k for my next car and thought it was a pretty good bet ...so yeah any advice , don't just say hell yeahhh get it be honest what do hate about ur car what do u love. Thanks PS Im new to the forum and coupes in general lol

Welcome to the forum! You'll find lots of good info here.
The RS is an appearance package. There is the V6 LS, 1LT, 2LT and the V8 1SS, 2SS.
The ones with the "2" comes with the upgraded Boston acoustics, HUD for the 2011+ models, a rear view camera for the 2012's, leather seats and the gauges at the bottom. I'm sure others would chime in regarding your deal

Both the Camaro you're looking at are probably 2010 (there was no 2009 Camaro). Make sure you test drive them too. The definition of monster is subjective!

You'll love the Camaro. Skip the sunroof if there's one and you're tall. Other than that, GREAT car.

If you are "eh" about the interior, look around for one with a leather interior, there are so many 2010s and 2011s around that you shouldnt settle, get the exact exterior color and interior package you want!

You can look on the classifieds here, local dealers (not just GM dealers) and on the internet, it may be worth it to fly or drive somewhere a little far away for a good deal

I agree with this. You want to make sure you get the exact car you want from the get go. You can always modify it down the line but if you are unhappy about any specific aspect of it, you will feel that way for a while. I customized my interior to match the victory red exterior. Its my favorite modification and I love the interior because of it. I suggest you do the same or go with the IOM/biege/black leather interior.

That comment is a concern, never allow your emotions to decide which car to buy.
Saying you "love a car" means you will be subjectively blinded about any problems the car has. You will also be blind about financing and cost.
Bring a car savy, neutral third party with you when you go car shopping.
BTW, you can buy a new 2012 Camaro for $23,000.

Not too bad for a certified vehicle with low miles. Do your homework on Edmunds or KBB.com to find pricing range. Call your bank, too, as they will give you NADA value. Always bid low on a vehicle like this. You are not going to offend the dealer, they expect it. Expect them to meet you somewhere in the middle.

BINGO!!!!

This is why Accords, GS350's, Camary's and Sonata's exist. Because people settle for transportation tools.
