Hi guys i ordered a IOM 2SS/RS with CGM stripes and IOM interior

question #1: i ordered my car about 2 weeks ago and my dealer has said they dont have the workbench number yet on my car. what should i do? should i march in there today and ask again or march in there and demand to know?

question #2 how many camaros are they building each day now?

If they put your preliminary order in the computer you should have a order number.... Ask them for a Workbench print out, your order number will be on the top of the page... If i had to guess 300+

yeah my order went in salesmen said i was at 1100 til tuesday he hasnt sent me the order number yet hoping i will hear back from him today though.

As soon as he enters your order it will generate an order number. But the order number really means nothing until he submits the order into workbench. Then you're waiting for GM.

I smell bullsh*t...Only thing I can think of that they didn't order it yet. What you should do is call your dealer and ask for an order number. If they can't give you that then they didn't order it yet. And your order number will consist of letters AND numbers. And if you already gave a deposit then I would be on their ass every other day.

I put a $500 deposit down and this is what they gave me the day i ordered

looks like ill have to go in today and talk to the manager

That would be called an Autobook print out. That is NOT an order that's just a place where a dealer can go to build a car in the computer and get a price. They need to give you an order workbench print out..

i got that same print-out plus my order #. I ordered oct. 31 and still wating at 1100. It would be hard to believe that they are building cars other than the dealer V6's before ours so im hoping mine will just show up at the dealership unexpectedly. Dealer has been very cooperative and so has 1-800 # at GM although neither can really tell me anything.

I'm finding that a lot of saleman are very lazy and they don't want to take a few minutes out of their day to find out information for someone.

You need to be persistant and find someone at your dealership willing to keep you informed.

I email my saleman once a week (don't want to be a pain in the axx) for an update.
If he or she isn't helpful, get someone else to find out the information for you.

went to my dealer got my order # and i found out that im already at 3000!
