Camaro for Tall Drivers?

I'm 6'9", but I found this list of "Best cars for tall or short drivers by consumer reports:

The number 1 "Worst" car for tall drivers? Chevrolet Camaro:

http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/2012/02/best-cars-for-tall-or-short-drivers/index.htm

I find that incredibly odd because I am 6'9" tall, and for some of the cars on the list (Jeep liberty, Nissan Z, and Porsche Boxster, I can not even squeeze into the seats to drive). On the camaro however, I scoot the seat UP a hair from the furthest back, and have no problem seeing anything except traffic lights (but a light-in-sight cost me only $10 and solved that problem).

So I have been driving it since 2009, and I love the fit of the camaro. I was so happy to find a car that was so great for tall drivers. How in heck did it get listed as the worst car for tall drivers??? it makes no sense whatsoever???

Anyone else have a take on it?

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

Consumer Reports has always been biased.

I'm 6'2" and depending on how I adjust my seat, I can make my head touch the ceiling, but it's not a truck and I don't wear a cowboy hat, so it's not a big deal.

I would never think twice about the headroom and wouldn't have if you hadn't mentioned it.

But, at 6'9" you're the better judge and if it's not a problem for you.......one more Consumer Reports myth busted.

6'3 and this is one of the most comfortable cars I have driven for my height. Couldnt even fit in a WRX and barely in a 370Z. No chance in a 350...

I didn't read the CR article, but I have to agree somewhat that the Camaro is not designed for tall drivers. I'm 6'1", once inside I'm ok, plenty of room, it's getting inside that I have problems.

On any other vehicle that I've ever owned, I put one foot in and then sat down, then lifted the other foot in. With my Camaro however, because the roof line is so low, I have to sit down first, then swing both legs in, and I still bump my head sometimes getting in. That's why I wish Camaro's had the swivel seats that came with some of the early 70's Oldsmobile cars.

Yeah the seats do go waaay back. But it's that freakin onstar mirror that is the biggest problem for me. Pushed all the way up, it still blocks my view of nearly a third of the windshield.

Consumer Reports occasionally has some comments that make sense, but I would never base a buying decision on anything because they like or dislike it. I don't know what motivates their rankings, but its not value...

How's this for making sense:

The same article lists the Chevrolet Camaro at the top, whether it's ordered or not, of the 10 Worst cars "For SHORT drivers"!

So it's at the top of the list for both tall and short drivers...go figure.

It shows Camaros are the worst for tall drivers and the worst for short drivers. I sense alot of hate in that article towards camaros

What was the best? I would assume they "donated" more to the "research" wink wink...

I am 6'1" 265 big frame guy and I am amazed at how comfortable it is to drive/ride in. My friend is also 6'9" and he too fits well, but has same issue with seeing lights etc.
