Hendrick Camaro Unveiling in Monroe, NC - Camaro VIN #2 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Here are some pics from the 2010 Camaro Unveiling Event at Hendrick Chevy in Monroe, NC today. They had several classic and newer cars show up and on display - alot of Vettes and Camaros were there. There was even a Cyber Gray ZR1 Vette, but he was gone by the time I looked around a little and got over there. Saw some Challengers and Stangs cruise through too, trying to get a glimpse of what is going to be roasting them on the highways. They also had a dice toss, and if you spelled the word "Camaro" you won a Camaro (not sure what model). One guy after my dad and I rolled three or four letters, the lady said it was the closest yet! They also had free cheeseburgers and hotdogs, but the burger were a little undercooked...they were trying to give us mad cow...lol.

This was the 2nd Camaro I have seen in person and am still impressed, although I have to say I am kind of disappointed in the exhaust note. They reved it up once, and it has more of a raspy sound. I like the exhaust note on my 06' GTO much better - it is a more deeper muscular sound. I am growing tired of the Silver color, its been displayed and pictured for what seems like forever. It needs stripes and 21" rims to dress it up in my opinion.

The 2 hour trip to Monroe would have been perfect if it were not for getting pulled over. I started picking up "KA" on my Valentine, slowed down to the speed limit, and about a half mile down the road I saw a silver Charger NC trooper sitting in a wooded area in the median. This was just across the NC border at mile marker 10. Well at mile marker 14 I see blue lights behind me... don't know where he came from, must have been going like hell.

He said he got me at mile marker 10 @ 80 in a 65..... riiiiiiigggghhht!

they had number 2 there with the hood up and doors open and you could actually get close enough to it to get decent shots????? OK where is my cell.. Im calling someone

I'll be headed to the Cary Dealership on the 6th for the same function. They are supposed to have #1 and #2 on display, with a 3rd car to test drive.

I am still pissed I missed it as I live 10 mins(cause of traffic) from there, that Best Buy is my second home lol.
