2012 2lt fully loaded with rs and gfx blacked out for 30k

Is this a good deal? Its a 2012 with 6k miles. Carfax says it was originally bought back in Nov 2011. The airbag computer module was replaced in jan and I guess the owner traded it in in Feb. Any thoughts? Its selling for 30k but probably get them Down to like 28 or 29. What's new with the 2012 v6 engine anyway. I year its a new engine. I know I should go for the v8 but I really don't do hwy miles and I'm more for the looks than racing. The mpg and flex fuel are convenient

I would say 30k is a lot of money for a uses 2012. I would think it would be in the 27-28 range. But since you said the airbag module was replaced does that mean it was in a crash?

That's what I would want to know.

Be weary...

Price is a bit high too

30K or 28K is too much for that used. EDIT: Especially with the sketchy airbag comp replacement...

To answer your question: The V6 has more HP (323) and less weight (I think 14lbs less) for 2012. It's the engine from the Cadillac CTS-V.

Research as much as you can on the car, especially considering this "replaced airbag computer module." I'm sure you can negotiate the price to something lower than 30K. Best of luck.

CARFAX is only as reliable as the body shops who report to it. There are those that do not participate in it.

Caveat emptor!

The CTS-V has a Supercharged 6.2L V8 LSA engine in it. Your thinking of the 3.6L CTS.

The LFX is basically a LLT engine with a redesigned intake and integrated exhaust manifolds making it approx 20 lbs lighter than the 2010/2011 LLT while producing 323hp instead of 312hp.

To the OP, I would try and get them down some. Between the low mileage, that current model year, and the fact that Camaors are keeping their value right now, you might have a somewhat difficult time getting them to play ball with you. Be prepared to walk away from it.

I think you can get new for the about same price and not have to worry about the airbag replacement thing.

A new 2012 2LT with RS package is 30,750 MSRP right now. Whatever else you want add the price to that, just build it on the Chev site....

Thanks NoSyT, you're right, it wasn't the "V".

EDIT: I really think you're better off looking for a new car if you're in the 30K price range.
