question about drl foglights

I have a 2012 Camaro SS/RS and use I to have a 2010 Camaro RS. On my 2010 camaro i had the P13W DRL LED bulb and it fit perfectly fine. I traded in my 2010 for a 2012 SS/RS and kept the LED bulbs so i can put the bulbs on the 2012 SS but bulb doesn't fit anymore. So anyone know where I can get foglights that fit.

The DRLs in the 2010's and 2012s have the same bulb. So your p13w bulbs should fit.

Well I just tried and it doesn't fit. The bulb on the left is the stock one.

Has this been resolved? I'm interested in buying bulbs like this but I also have a 2012 Camaro.

Thanks!

I'm having the same issue on my 2012 with a set bulbs I just purchased. Anyone have any updates to this?

Is the issue the location of the raised area on the side not lining up with the connector? If so, can't it be sanded or filed down flush?

That's part of the issue but not all of it. The tabs up top near the red o-ring are different sizes. These have to be trimmed and adjusted so the bulb will go into the connector. The prongs inside the bulbs are different also. The prongs in the old bulbs are too long for the new connectors. They will still work but they will never lock into place allowing the bulb to easily come out of the connector. Plus this also allows the connection to be loose and a loose electrical connection will cause sparks and causes damage to both the connector and the bulb then eventually a fire.

GM changed the bulbs and connectors on all 2012's not just the Camaro. If I had a '12 I would wait until we find out what bulb truly fits. I've seen plenty electrical fires caused by loose connections, even 12 volt connections, and it's not something I would want to see happen to my car.

Yes it does, but maybe there's a solution. There's a post about the AAC version not fitting either, but the mentioned mods and using some wire ties seem to work for another customer.
