Paintless dent repair on rear quarter

I just got a small ding on the rear quarter just above the wheel arch. It's very small. The paint hasn't been scratched or broken. When I purchased my Camaro, I bought "Paintless Dent Repair" insurance. Initially they said it could be easily fixed. When the guy went to repair it he said that he couldn't fix it because he can't get his tools behind the panel. He said that it's "double walled". Is this true or is he just telling me this because he doesn't want to remove the plastic liner to get at it?

I have one in the same place sort of. Right before the front gill. Took it to a couple of PDR shops and they said they'd have to get behind it with their tools.
I didn't want them trying to get behind the double panels so I'm living with the dent for now.

He is telling you the truth, my friend does paintless dent repair, and usually toward the end of the panels they are double walled, which makes it harder to access the dent. But he could try to glue pull to make it look a little better, which they pull from the outside of the panel with glue, instead of using tools behind the panel and using leverage. That's a tuff spots, it' it was above that body line it would be an easy fix. Have to paint to get it done perfect.

Yup, double walled; nope, he needs to find a way to fix it. He cannot 'decline' to provide the services you paid for. You bought dent repair; this is a dent. Nuff said.

I had a very small door ding in almost the same location on mine. I had it fixed by paintless dent repair. My guy told that you can get to it through the tail light, but it takes forever. He did it externally. I watches him it do it. Probably took him 10 minutes. It's now completely gone.

You're missing the operative word here "paintless". If the guy they hire doesn't have the skill to do the work, then it's not covered under paintless dent repair.

I have the same ins and just used it. I bought the car w a small ding on the front fender, right on the wheel well body line. I was concerned that they couldnt fix it but he did and you cant tell! But the ins is for paintless dent removal and u have one. He needs to fix it. Whats the point of having the ins if they cant fix a ding on the quarter panel?? I wld push the issue.

Btw, do u know that ins only covers vertical panels? I think thats crazy!

Send a message via Skype™ to frankiecamaro@gmail.com
Most PDR Services will tell you that can not remove at the Edge of something. Highly doubtful that can be removed.

update, Haven't found a place who's had experience with a Camaro for this location yet.
Will post an update when I do.
