Hmmm how to put it . . . It was a Good ending as in it'll shock the "blank" out of ya. And far from a "Happy" ending. For the most part the movie follows along with the book, with a couple twists. Maybe tomorrow I'll spill the beans .

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm a huge Stephen King fan.

I won't give the ending away then. . . unless ya wanna know. . I'm just surprised that it's not doing better then number nine in the top ten.

Also forgot to add, there's a new preview to that "Cloverfield" movie, that was at the beginning to Transformers at the beginning of the Mist. Bunch of new clips, but still not enough to let you know what's going on. Can't wait for January to get here to see this movie either.

i was going to see that last week, but it reminded me too much of The Fog. (both of them sucked) i might watch it at home on the laptop tho. no sense paying for overpriced tickets to a movie that might suck. lol

I went with a couple friends to see The Mist on opening day.

We all loved it.

It did follow the novella (it's technically not a 'book' since it's a short story contained in a larger book) pretty closely. And the changes that they did do were more additions than changes. Also, all the additions 'fit'. In the original story some things were hinted at, but not revealed. The movie brings those unknowns into the main plot.

This was a case where I actually liked the movie far more than the book.

The books ending was... Well, it wasn't. It didn't truly end, you had no closure.

The movie's ending (no spoilers) was a definite ending. And, as was mentioned, it's a GOOD ending but in no way a happy one. So no one should go in expecting a happy 'everything turns out for the better' kind of ending. 'Cause it most certainly is not.
