Damaged Side Mirror..aka Another Use for Duct Tape

I took delivery of my 2SS/RSS today !! However, the passenger side mirror was damaged in transport. Im not sure if it occured during the train transport or the ground transport by Allied. So another use for duct tape has been found...to cover the unsightly mounting holes in the door of a much awaited, $40K, brand new muscle car! My dealer jumped right on getting it fixed. A new mirror is to be overnighted tonight, be painted tomorrow and installed on Thursday.

I hate that you are going thru that but it could have been worst. At least it matched the color and fixed quickly.

I have 2 friends, each with an old el camino (one is a 71 and another is a 72). Anyways, both of their cars don't have right side mirrors, and it is legal to leave it that way... something about how if it came like that when the car was made, you don't need to have it.

I know it is random, but this reminded me of that

by the way, have you driven the car without this mirror yet? I bet you need the mirror for safety issues... the car has some pretty big blind spots.

Same thing happened to my C6 but I used black electrical tape. You could not even see it. From a distance it looked really odd without a right side mirror, like the older Testarossas that only came with a drivers side mirror. For a few hundred thousand they couldn't provide two mirrors???
