Here are a few photos from the morning of May 6, 2009 at Apple Chevy in Tinley Park, IL (southern suburb of Chicago)

That's my 1971 Z28 RS next to a 2LT Camaro with a lot of options but no RS.

I really like the $5,000 adjusted market increase (Sarcasm!!!)

That 5th Gen is staring straight at a Mustang who seems to be making sure to not make eye contact.

Here are several photos from the 2010 Camaro Reveal Day that Hoskins Chevy in Elk Grove Village, IL (northwestern suburb of Chicago) put on. I got there about 5:45 pm and there were already several people admiring the Victory Red 1LT Camaro RS in the showroom along with a 1969 Z28 RS, 1973 Z28 RS, 1988 IROC-Z Convertible, and a 2002 B4C. They had an Aqua Blue Metallic Camaro from Michigan giving rides in the rain but they stopped before I could take one. Great event. Thanks to who ever mentioned this event here a couple of weeks ago!!!

By the way that's my 1997 30th Anniversary Z28 in the background of a couple of pictures.

The ABM car had Michigan plates and I think I overheard someone say that it was going from dealer to dealer to offer rides that day. That's all I know about it.

You know, I'm really not sure what it was now that I look at my pictures. In person it looked lighter than the pictures. I thought that IBM was a much darker color, but it looks dark in the pictures. Maybe it was because it was such a dark and dreary rainy day! There was no window sticker on it and it was never there long enough for me to get a good look at it. It would drive up unload and load a passenger and then take off again for about 5 to 10 minutes. Both the red and blue one's were automatics.

I grew up in Elk Grove. Hoskins Chevy... the first dealer I went to about the 5th Gen, as my dad had bought several cars from them in the past. Jerks. Gave me the run around before the pre-orders and told me they were going to sell above MSRP. I'm shocked they didn't go $10,000 over.

I don't know anything about the dealer, I live about an hour south in Tinley Park. I only went there because it was the only dealer in my area that was doing something special for the intro. It also helped that Lou Malnati's pizza was just around the corner. Love those deep dish pizza's!!!
