The auto kind of has it...

If you're not tuned... (it appears some tuners remove this)
if you put it into competitive mode...
if you apply the brake...
if you quickly push the accelerator to the floor...
it will hold the RPMs at 1400.

Then you can just lift off the gas and go.

It works on mine, but it does seem to occasionally hit the rev limiter just before it shifts into 2nd, which I find odd.

You can modify the traction control to suit your driving habits through custom tuning. If you have patience, you can alter the multiple tables to allow the tires to haze, but not overwhelm the pavement. As you add power, the factory settings become ineffective.

Both LS3 and L99 have traction control...

Pretty Sure what Patrick G meant was TM or Torque Management...

Edit: nope... he's talking about traction control... and he is the guy who would know...

Don't know what to tell you. I do it all the time, exactly as I said in my post, and it works fine. I'm not tuned or modded beyond a cold air intake.

I can think of three possibilities:
a) Are you tuned yet? Based on threads you started, you have been looking to do it. If so, that might be the issue.
b) Are you pushing the gas to the floor quickly? Going slowly won't engage the rev limiter or whatever it is.
c) Are you in competitive mode? Turning off all the nannies does not do this. Turning off just traction control does not do this.

I think what you're seeing is the Stall Torque Management. It enables at 1500rpm and disables at 1300rpm...hence why you see ~1400rpm when you do this.

This is correct. Fortunately, this threshold is totally tuneable and can be raised or lowered to suite your traction/launch conditions (through a custom tune of course).
