V6 engine swap

Well i recently wrecked my 97 3.8l Camaro but i didn't want to scrap it because i hardly have enough money to buy a new car so i was thinking about swapping the V6 in it into a cheap frame so as to keep my engine but still save some money. It's a 4 spd automatic and i was hoping someone could give me some input on what kind of car i would need and how hard it would really be.
I'm not the most mechanically inclined but i don't have the money to have it done professionally, i think it would be a good project to keep me busy

Uhhhh....

haha... this won't be easy... you have to think about not just swapping the engine, but the transmission and lots of other stuff....

I'd recommend finding another V6 Camaro you can swap it into if you want to keep it that badly...

That's just the start of it. You would need new motor mounts depending on the car you might need to mod the actual strut towers fit the firewall find a trans and differential that could work. That's really just a start. It's not a plug and play operation.

yeah i figured it would take quite a bit of cash and loads of time. maybe it is way over my head but it sounds somewhat worth it and i'd end up with a pretty unique car in the end

Modern engines are very difficult to swap because of all the electronics... You would need to swap computers and harnesses. Then tie the new electronics with the old. This is a huge undertaking.

Not to mention new motor mounts.. transmission...

It ain't the good ol days where all the motor needed is a 12v battery and a fuel line.

It would be unique but not worth the money you put into it.. If you ever want to sell it.
