Help me launch this car.

Hit the local 1/8 mile last night. Conditions were not too bad but there was a low level fog around the track.

I just could not get the car to 60' for the life of me. I am running NT05Rs as well. Here are my rather disappointing results as I was really hoping to see very low 8s to high 7s. Shifted the car at 6200 rpms

Pass 1.
R/T .248
60' 2.2364
E/T 8.44
MPH 89.32
(left at 1500 rpm tried to ease into throttle, blew off tires)

Pass 2.
R/T .438
60' 2.1189
E/T 8.42
MPH 89.43
(left at 2500 slipping the clutch a bit, then full throttle, tires spun at f/t)

Pass 3.
R/T .270
60' 2.1227
E/T 8.33
MPH 89.57
(left at 3000 slipping the clutch a bit, then eased into it, no spin)

Now I didn't do a smoke show burnout as I was a bit afraid to have the car hook to hard and snap an axle. Just did two quick burns then stage.

On a positive note I did win all 3-passes. Vette, Mustang, and a ricer

These cars are hard to launch...seems to me you have to fight the computer on the car..i could be wrong ...and i am alot

I had my best 60ft last night @ a 1.957...stock p-zeros at 30 psi.

heated them up till i saw smoke...did a dry hop to see if they were gonna hook
turned all the nannies off...brake torqued it to 1500 rpm.

Usually i'm taking my foot off the brake and pressing the gas pedal about the same time...2.01-2.20 times...this time when i was ready to leave i let off the brake completly and stomped the pedal to the floor like i wanted it to hit pavement..car jumped like never before.didnt get to try this method again as the grudge racing had started
before the car cooled enough to try again.

reaction .597 .500 is perfect
60 ft 1.957
594 ft 7.829
1/8 et 8.351
1/8 mph 86.20

As the runs went on through the night I seemed to be getting a little quicker but still far off from where I think the car should be. Any of you other cammed LS3 cars care to talk a bit on how you are launching?

Hoosier dr's. Good second gear burnout to get them sticky. Shallow stage. I leave around 3500ish ( I go by sound, not watching the tach) not dumping the clutch but releasing quickly and enjoy the ride. Netted me a slew of 1.7 60's last week. Now I will say the week before the clutch pedal kept sticking to the floor or midway to the floor, so I installed the lingenfelter clutch return spring and problem solved for me. Got to get those dr's hot, I think your soft burnout is most of the problem. Can't be afraid of breaking it

Thank you for responding I was hoping to hear from a similar car. Are you running a line-lock or just jumping on the brake once she spins for the burnout? Also when you leave the line are you slipping it out or just launching at the 3500 rpms?

No line lock. Just a little slip out of the hole. Basically just releasing the clutch smoothly, but not flat out dumping. It's a little harder on the clutch, but alot easier on the rear! What kind of air pressure are you running in the nitto's? I usually run around 17psi in the dr's when I'm racing.
