I am waiting to order a 2SS, Victory Red, RS and have been talking to the dealership parts manager about GM Performance Parts. I would like to know what type of improvement shorty headers with a cold air intake would do for the LS3 V8. If someone has researched this or has received their Camaro with these two performance items I would appreciate a response. The parts manager also told me that the headers are a factory option and will not be sold at the dealer. Does anyone know if this is true?

The shorty headers, as well as other LPOs, are supposedly dealer installed options. The Headers are supposed to be released in the third quarter of 2009. Like a grain of salt.....I was supposed to have my 2010 SS/RS be the May 6th unveiling.....the unveiling that my dealership didn't have one to unveil. Just like us who are waiting on our vehicles.....they don't know any more than we do.
