Is this even possible???
I'm sure the flaming will begin shortly after I post this, but to be completely honest, I don't believe it myself, but the numbers for the other guy (dragster/altered) seem to be right, and it started off to be an excellent run (aside from the red light)...
I do remember the run because of who I was racing, some obnoxiously loud dragster/altered front engine thing... I was already eliminated from the Sportsman class, running test & tune, just playing with the tree trying to get better reaction times, hence the red light. I recall the launch seemed very good, almost scary good, good 1-2 shift, good 2-3 shift and then... Missed/ground 4th for a good .5 sec before pushing the clutch back in ramming it in and carrying on my way to the finish line. I didn't bother looking at the time slip because I missed the shift, and tossed it into the passengers seat. This race day was about 2 weeks ago, and I was just going through the stack of time slips on my coffee table and saw this... The 1/8 time converts to a 12.608 from what I can find... I don't think it's that far fetched ET wise, compared to what some of the other guys out there run with basically stock cars. I imagine it's probably an error with the timing system, but You'd think if the numbers were off they would be consistently off the same amount for the entire run? And the others guys numbers seem to be right for what he should be running, but I plan to track him down this week and ask if that seems about right for his car... 1) I understand if this is hard or impossible to believe, I hardly believe it myself, but I thought it was worth posting. 2) This run was done on NEW (at the start of the race days) Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 285/40/18 street tires. 3) This IS NOT photoshopped, I took the picture of the time slip in my hand with my iPhone... Please try not to flame, I just want to know if this is even possible? I mean I guess anything is, but I am in disbelief myself, but everything ASIDE from the 60' time doesn't seem that far fetched on the time slip. BTW I'm 558E on the right of the slip. Flame on |

There must have been a glitch in the timing system,A 1.44 short light is hard to believe.1/8 mile et and mph dont jive but the 13.31 is a good average run.You could claim it on the unofficial 1/8 mile list...You have proof lol.

Smoke from the dragster tripped your 60-foot beam early.
Had it happen to me as well. Padre |

Here you go:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...postcount=1238 In my case, smoke tripped the beam and I cut a .9 sixty and ran 11.0 when I had been running 11.7. What is impossible in your case is your 1.447 sixty. You would need north of 600 Hp to physically accomplish that. Your mph #'s are good, just hour ETs are off. Padre

A few questions then I'll speculate.
Does the car number on your ticket match your number for the day? What was your next best 60' of the day? Any mods below the car like low ground effects, or low hanging pipes? What tires and suspension mods do you have? Any other significant mods? |

Next best 60' was a 1.988 No gfx or anything hanging. BMR trailing arms, Spohn Swaybar, 285/40/18 Goodyear F1 Supercar tires on 18" Vette GS wheels. Mods in sig, the intake system is probably the only thing that enhanced running performance though. Yeah... I'm gonna go with the smoke from the other car theory. |

Yeah I've gone anywhere from 1.49 to 1.35 in other cars and these behemoths would need a lot more (and sticky tires) to cut a 1.44. I think Alan from BMR has been around there and he probably makes 550rwhp or more with his blower.
