Question on the convertible tops.

I am thinking on getting a '13 convertible. Does anyone here know if Chevy has fixed the rub issue on the tops?

Anyone with a vert built after Feb. 2012 please let us know how your top looks. Pics would be even better.

Here are pictures of my new 2012 top compared to my replacement on my old car. New car was built on 4/4/12. Old car top replaced on 9/29/11. New top still looks good. I just turned 1000 miles on it. Had the top down 20 times so far. I do have wrinkles behind the rear windows but they go away after it has been up for some time.

So no rubs, no rips, no tears? Great!

Anyone else?

The jury is still out. Still quiet, no leaks from washing, no rubs yet. Ask me this question in August after I have had it for 4 months. The last car had the top replaced in 5 weeks.

I agree, Jason. While they may have improved a few items, I think you need more extensive use to know if it's a lasting improvement.

Let's just say I am cautiously hopeful that nothing happens this summer. Paint seems to be better on this one along with the overall build quality. I told my wife let's hold off on any mods until I know for certain that this top will hold up. Sad to say but I was looking at new GT 500's last night along with old Camaro's and Vette's. I can pick up a new 2011 GT 500 vert for a little over 46K. Tempting to have more HP, a top that will last, and a limited production car.

I've got 5,000 miles on my 45th vert and have had no issues. Top looks great, works great and has no signs of rubbing anywhere. If it wasn't for this forum I'b be totally unaware of the problems people have had with verts.

Over 8000 miles on my 2012 car and not a rub or wrinkle in sight. It is my daily ride and most of that [except when the weatherman says it might rain] is top down driving.

And wow.. I love my car.

I did get the recall notice on it but since I haven't had any issues with it I am going to ignore that. I figure why fix what isn't broken. As many trucks as we have bought from them over the past fifteen years our small town Chevy dealer usually bends over backwards for us in the service area.
