How the shift timing lights works

Hello every one,
I have question about the shift timing lights. It dosn't show on my display, I don't know why. Is there is way to turn it on? Or I'm missing something to do for it to work. Thank you.
By the way my car is manual transmission

It only works when you have the g meter selected and you have to rev it up for the dots to show.

Press it. Turning it controls the brightness.

I also was wondering...I have changed my hud setting to the g-meter and it still will not show the dots at the top?

I could be completely wrong about this...mine is getting tinted and a clear bra put on so I can't look at the manual, but if I remember correctly to get to the HUD screen with the timing lights you need to be in any PTM mode.

Shift lights start at 3k in first gear.

Nope, just have the G meter on the HUD, and tach out the RPMs. The dots will be faint at first and then brighten up as they close in on the center of the screen.

Pretty fun to play with. Just be careful you will speed up fast!

With the M6 and have HUD set to G meter I only see the timing lights in first gear while accelerating quickly.
