how long should V6 brakes last?

I know everyone brakes a little bit differently but in general how many miles should the V6 Stock brakes last? trying to budget for a nicer set up down the road.

I would guess a long time. I only have two data points for a camaro and a couple other vehicles.

At 5K miles my stock brakes are barely worn, less than 1%
Had a student with 20k miles on her car and about 2/3 pad, after 2 hours at CMP (really hard on brakes) she barely had enough pad left to get home (200 miles)

Totally different car, about the same weight though - my daughters 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible had 80Kmiles on the original pads, just replaced the fronts, rears had a little over 50%

And then there is the Tahoe, 50Kmiles and at the last oil change the fronts were at 50% and the rears at 75%

Guess would be 60K+

depends on the driver, but check them at 40,000, most factory brakes will last 60,000

I'm at 19,000 and I just ordered dimpled and slotted rotors from brake performance.com. Only reason I am doing this is because I have a bad pad on my drivers side and it's leaving a grove and squeaks really bad when brakes are cool.

As of today, I'm at 80,300 and still going strong with my 2010 1LT/RS (IMB) with the Midnight Silver 20"s. Only maintenance issue was I wore out my clutch at 65,000 because of how I drive. After paying over a grande out of pocket I take it much easier now on the shifting.

That's unfortunate:( I heard from a member in my group that clutch and flywheel broke. And only having 15,xxx miles two dealerships said the warranty for his clutch was 12,xxx miles. If thats actually true that's

I have a ss2 covertible and have 40,000 miles and their about half gone. They tell me the car is about 4000 lb, so I'm doing pretty good.

I have 61k miles on my 2011 2LT/RS with the original brake pads and I was just about to ask the same question?

5 years, 70,000 kms, still running the original brakes. I do suspect they will need replacing soon though. probably another year or so.

Warranty on a clutch is usually unheard of from factory. I know this an old post but just for everyone else to know...
Not their fault some people ride the clutch. I was actually told there was 0 warranty on the clutch, brakes, & other wearable items before purchasing the car
