What hurts your wallet the most?

Many of us willing spend thousands upon thousands of dollars joyfully modding our cars to the max. To me, a mod doesn't hurt my wallet because I enjoy the added benifit and the result. I know at the end of the day, it's money well spent that I wanted to spend. However, there are a few things that really generate a pain in the right ass pocket for me.

For instance, I hate spending nearly $1000 for tires that I know will probably only last me 20K miles. It's probably the worst part about driving a Camaro. Add to it the fact that you are practicaly at the mercy of the tire and its even worse. You can't do a whole lot (if you have the SS or RS) to gaurentee the max life of your tires. Wheel balance, proper inflation, good alignments? Thats really it I guess. You can't do the most importance prevention method... Rotations. Oh well, a necessary evil of the road I suppose.

What hurts your wallet the most when it comes to your Camaro?

Insurance! It just frosts me to have to fork out 500 bucks every six months - never been in a wreck, one ticket that stuck since 1974. It's legal extortion.
Gas is getting pretty stupid too, but oh well.

Where do you live? I live in NC, got a ticket 3 years ago and I only pay $395 every 6 months?

Mods, mods, and more mods!!!
I just got mine lowered with Pedders XA Coil Overs, ZL1 conversion sway bars, ZL1 toe links, radius rods, and bushings....along with installation cost and alignment. I'm sure you have an idea of what the cost on this would run.

I thought my mod list was shrinking, but damn, it seems like I'm always adding something else to it!

Look up Hankook Ventus EVO K110 tires. You can get a complete set for about $700 with a $80 rebate in stock sizes. I heard they are better tires than OEM at a fraction of the price.

The DAMN Gas!!!! Kills me but I don't care at all.

Kind of fearing purchasing new Pirelli tires. I'd be looking at a price of at least $1100.00.

My insurance is next to nothing so I don't even think about it when I pay.

That sure is the truth. That and I have the mod disease bad and sometimes buy a mod without much thought and then end up doing a different mod but better mod to the same thing. I've got the mod disease bad!
