How many convertible owners have not had problems?
Just ordered a ZL1 convertible but after reading about all the problems with Camaro convertibles on this forum I'm wondering if I should have ordered a coupe. I would like to know how many owners that have convertibles have not had any problems? How long have you had the car? Thanks

1st 2012 nothing but problems. Took delivery on 8/4/11. GM bought it back. Order new car on 2/15/12. Delivered on 4/17/12. Currently 2000 miles, top down 28 times. Hasn't been to the dealership once. Hopefully this one will pan out and be trouble free.

No problems to speak of.
A few "rub marks" that go away with light "hand" brushing and the slightest top "wave" over the driver and passenger side. No holes, fraying, "5th bow" break, excessive "wind noise", water bag, rear window motor grinding or any other mechanical or body issues. Thus far, we've been VERY satisfied with our 5th Gen. 2011 2LT RS Camaro Convertible, right down to the Summit White exterior and black leather interior (although, I do yearn for the power of an SS from time to time. However, that thought quickly dissipates when I hear my name being called...)

No problems here. I've got just over 7000 miles on mine and the only "issue" is the glove box droops. Dealer told me to slam it harder and it will stay shut. So far he's right.
No 5th bow disease, no rub marks, no leaks, no flying tonneau covers, no creaks or rattles. I love this car! |

None so far. Had the top enhancement done and the area behind the rear quarter window looks much tighter, a definite improvement.
Driving it on it's first long trip this coming weekend.

I have not had any problems (knock on wood). I ordered mine in December 2011 and it was delivered in early February. Mine did not need the top enhancement either. My VIN was not part of the TB recall...I put the top down almost every time I drive it. I have 3600 miles on the car.
I have owned 4 convertibles in my life and have never had problems...albeit the others were German cars, but in this day and age, I really don't think there should be problems. So for there to be as many problems as has been reported is ridiculous. It would not stop me from buying a convertible though. I didn't know anything about the Camaro convertible problems until I came to this board and thankfully, mine is OK (so far).

No, no, no, lol . They have a fix for that. Your dealer should be able to look it up. I had mine fixed. Though you will probably have to wait for parts.
