Camaro STS Turbo is DONE - Impressions

So had my car done for about 2 weeks now and decided to post about it. After dealing with the fuel pump issue I decided to add the ADM Meth Injection Kit and that really helped. Dyno'd at 405 rwhp and around 350 rwtq. Obviously this is the v6's setback. I have not gone to the track but with the lower torque it obviously has trouble off the line, however the car is AMAZING off the roll and on the highway. If you wanted a good track car I wouldn't suggest having a v6, if you wanted the PERFECT street car, then this is the way to go. Not only does this thing destroy from the roll and on the highway, but it also boosts the mpg very well. I average around 22 mpg and I really get on it. If I set cruise control around 70, I average around 28-30 mpg. I have had a few races/pulls against some cars and I'm really surprised at what I have beat and what I can hang with. It really was worth is for me, and it really turns heads and I always have people asking me about it and complimenting it. If you have any questions at all just ask!

Congrats man. Lenexa and Overland Park, my old stomping grounds where I grew up. Did you do the install or have someone do it. I was told the STS is easy (maybe not easy but very do able) to do but I have looked at it and there is no way I would try to tackle it. I would be real happy with 400 or more HP.

Great build. Love intelligent HP. I'll take a boosted six over a pushrod V8 any day and i really love V8's.

Love the sound, love the extra whine or whoosh and the phheeew BOV along with the accompanying spinning turbine jet sound mixed with the baritone 6 cylinder snarl. 400-500 HP is enough to play with anybody if you know how to drive and you can launch well.

FYI, if you are interested in more power, Tracy from Rx now sells a higher pressure fuel pump for our direct injection engines. I believe I read in a thread somewhere that the pump is good for up to 600-700 hp, around that ball park.

I know of a guy who just put an sts turbo on an lt1 camaro last week. Dynoed 440rwhp. The car ran 11.70 before the turbo. After it ran 12.80. Slowed it down from turbo lag.
