Camaro noises...that I don't like.
Hello all,
I recently purchased a new camaro, and I'm hearing noises that are distracting, ones that don't sound normal. 1. When idling and driving I hear a whistling noise, as if air is being sucked in somewhere. 2. When idling and driving I hear a high pitched squeaking noise similar to that a worn serpentine belt might make. 3. After being parked and going into reverse/ drive I occasionally hear a clunking noise coming from under the car. This only happens after the car has started moving (doesn't sound or act like the TSB issue) 4. The power steering is oddly loud at times. Does anyone experience these noises? If so are they normal, of not are there any ideas if it's a quick fix, I'd like to avoid taking it to the dealer if it's something simple. Thanks for any help. |

I'm having the same problem number 2 and 3..I've already taken to dealer and said clunking sound is just the transmission engaging and the squeak well they said they couldn't figure it out.

Look in your owners manual and there's an 800 number for GM customer service. Call them and explain whats going on with your Camaro if the dealer gives you the run around.
