Roto-Fab questions

Hey guys. I am going to purchase a Roto-Fab cai for my v6 soon and i have a few questions. Is $305 a good price? Do you have to upgrade/reprogram anything in the computer? Also on average how much is the HP and MPG gain? Thanks everyone!!

IDK the specifics in gains, other will tell you or you could seach the forums and ull get an easy answer.

305 is pretty good, always look in the v6 marketplace under this forum, that is where all the vendors post their deals. you can even go to that section and run a search that scopes only that section.

for the computer (ECU), everybody disconnects the battery usually while installing and leaves it off for about 30 mins or so. that makes the ecu reset and then has to relearn everything, which is the point.

you sound like you didnt really look around. so make sure you take a look at the other valid choices out there. such as the vararam, and cold air inductions. those are the more popular ones out.

I had the CAI and just replaced it with the Roto-Fab color matched and I love it! Price is good, especially in comparison to the CAI and perhaps others. Also, I didn't disconnect the battery to install. I simply removed the old and installed the new.

Had mine installed last week on my V6 2LS you gain about 10HP & 8TQ with it. You do not need to tune or reprogram anything and i drive about 75 miles a day to and from work and have gained about 2-3 mpg with it. Like said above the custom look they have looks awesome under the hood the only other V6 intake that doesn't throw any codes is the Vararam little bit more money and completely different appearance gains are about the same according to a friend who has it in his V6. It's really a visual preference decision between the two.

have a question for another v6 owner:

What color are the air filters? Dry? Oil?

basically, they are getting RJT option and heard there is a green filter. want to avoid that one. I've seen maroon and white...

I have had mine installed for a year with zero problems, I did not disconnect my battery. Great performance, sound, looks, and quality. I have the dry filter (white) , dry filter is the best option in my opinion.

I love my Roto-Fab. I too went with the dry air filter. It takes about 30 seconds once a month to clean this thing and it still looks brand new after 5000KM and I also have the ADM as well. This photo was snapped just before I had upgraded to the ADM scoop and Roto-fab washer bottle kit.

What's kinds of differences in performance did you notice with the ADM scoop?
