Turbo LS3 Problem....

Well I just took delivery of my car 2 nights ago after getting the turbo kit installed. Drove the car home 15 minutes from where i met the deliver guy at the hotel and everything was fine. So the next morning I wake up and go start the car to go to walmart and i crank it once and hold for a lil bit and it wont start. So i crank it again and pumped the gas pedal a little bit and it started but the whole engine was shaking and it started up like crap. So i drove it around to the store to see if it was just something small and this time when i returned to the car to start it..... it started up but started up like if the fuel was flooded or something. It was bogging till it started. So took it home and let it cool down and decided let me try to start it one last time and see. I opened the hood while my roommate started the car and this time there was like a loud plastic popping sound when he turned the key and it came from the top of my motor where the injectors/plugs are located. So it didnt start again on the first try and on the very last try we tried to start it...... He turned the key then the car started trying to crank over but nothing. Then he released the key and the car started trying to crank over for like 5 seconds on its own while the key was already released. It started on its own like that but my whole motor was shaking horribly!!! Does anyone know what could be causing this?? My car was in the shop for 7 weeks and the first day i get it back this happens. What a mess

Injectors can sometimes make ticking sounds, I don't know about popping though. If your car does not know how much air is in the intake then I could see it idling pretty rough. Did you pull the codes? Maybe something as little as faulty MAF.

Why did you pump the gas? This isnt a carb style engine its a fuel injected engine so pumping the gas isnt gonna do anything. Why not just call the guy who did the work?

Yeah, when we met at the hotel that night it started up fine. I told him what happened and he said that has only happened once before.

Sounds like your MAF is dying. Actually, it sounds like it's dead already.

Yeah i checked the wires and ground was good. Hopefully its something small like the MAF. Im taking it to HHP Carolina tomorrow to install my boost and a/f gauge so i eill have them see if they can diagnose the problem. I'll keep everyone updated. Or is it a bad idea to even try and drive it there?

No codes at all. Just plugged in the tuner and read the dtc codes just to see if something would pop up but nothing

Sounds kinda like your maf but hard to say for sure. I'd consider having it towed or trailered there just to be safe. Let us know what they find.
