Oh it's very easy. They pop right off. Just spray paint them. Any questions PM me.

There is a good video on youtube of some kid popping them off.

Here's my fog light bezels I did. Tail light bezels are the same idea.

You will want to do this yourself. I too am preparing to do this, but I haven't decided on whether to paint or plastidip. If you wanna get an idea how to remove them, you can look in the DIY section for a video on the subject. But wait... what's a "bessel"?

Sorry I couldn't resist!

I used Satin Black Rustoleum from Lowes. Just take some steel wool, or a fine grit sand paper to them first to rough them up, clean them well, and spray away. May want to mask off the clips first though. You'll probably want to do a good 2 to 3 coats. Maybe more. Good luck

You can buy aftermarket black bezels now on Ebay and other sources. I picked up a set for less than $80. I wanted to keep the stock chrome ones in case I ever want to switch back.

Spray paint is permanent/more durable than plasti dip if you use a matte clear.

Make sure the paint you use is for plastic. If not, get an etching spray first. This will allow the paint to stick. If not, after a while and a few car washes later, the paint will flake off.

Been there, done that.

I've had great luck with rustoleum, but be sure you use an adhesion promoter or it won't stick properly. Clean the bezels with alcohol first to get any grease or wax off them, rough them up a bit with sandpaper, use the ap, primer, paint, clear. 2 or 3 thin coats works better than one thick coat so be patient and let the products dry inbetween coats. Voila!

It's easy. Just be carefully prying them off. Use a padded screwdriver. Clean, prep and paint. I used primer and Dupli-color trim paint. Works an sticks well. I painted the fog light bezels, since I don't have fogs. Painted them stainless steel.

I did my shifter bezel first, next I will do my taillight bezels. I used Dupli-color adhesion promoter, 3light coats - gloss black, 4light coats - clear coat finish 4light coats. And yes be very patient and they will turn out great.

Personally, I would recommend using Plasti-Dip. I've used it on many things. I haven't used it on my Camaro yet but I have painted my Yukon Hybrid's logos and emblems matte black and it turned out great! Also, the great thing about Plasti-Dip is that you can remove it! I bought all my Plasti-Dip from http://www.dipyourcar.com

Best of luck!
